Pee Wee Oakleaf Hydrangea
At 2-3' in height and width, this compact oakleaf hydrangea is perfect for small woodland gardens or foundation plantings with fertile soil. The leaves and flowers are more refined than the species with 4-5" long flower heads.
Flowering occurs from late May through early June or June through July, depending on location. The fragrant flowers provide early-season pollen and nectar for pollinators. The handsome dark green foliage turns rosy-red in fall.

Plant in moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Will flower in full sun to part shade. Stems and flower buds may be injured when temperatures deop below -10°. Flowers on old wood. Mulch to keep soil moist and cool.
