Growing & Maintenance Tips for Hydrangea macrophylla 'Double Down®'

Soil pH can be altered to change bloom color. For blue flowers, acidic soil is needed (this can be done by applying Soil Acidifier, or by applying acidic organic mulch such as pine bark or pine needles). For pink flowers, alkaline soil is needed (this can be done by applying limestone over the ground and using garden tools to work it into the soil). For purple flowers, a neutral soil pH is needed.
